Our academic vision is grounded in international standards and future-oriented education. Through globally recognized programmes such as the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Cambridge Pathway programmes — including Cambridge Primary, Cambridge Lower Secondary, Cambridge Upper Secondary, and Cambridge Advanced — we provide students with access to world-class academic opportunities aligned with leading global education systems.

At the Cambridge Upper Secondary level, students follow the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, while at the Cambridge Advanced stage they pursue Cambridge International AS & A Level qualifications.

As an official AP, SAT, and Fibonacci examination centre, Baku Modern Educational Complex enables students to pursue internationally recognized qualifications that prepare them for admission to prestigious universities around the world.

Established in 2012, Baku Modern Educational Complex (BMEC) has grown into one of Azerbaijan's leading educational institutions, providing students with a high-quality learning experience that combines academic excellence, innovation, and personal development.

BMEC offers internationally recognized educational pathways, including the complete Cambridge Pathway from Primary School through Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge AS & A Level, as well as the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). BMEC Established
Baku Modern Educational Complex was founded, opening its doors to students in Baku, Azerbaijan.
2015
Expansion of Academic Programmes
New academic programs and sections were introduced, broadening the educational opportunities available to students.
2021
Cambridge Programme Expansion
Full expansion of the Cambridge curriculum across all levels, providing internationally recognized education.
2024
Authorization for IB Diploma Programme
BMEC became an authorized IB World School, offering the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
2025
Official AP Examination Centre

School Campuses
The school consists of three separate academic buildings, each serving a specific educational purpose:
Main Campus (Primary & Middle School)
A comprehensive learning environment for younger and middle-grade students, featuring modern classrooms, interactive technologies, and a strong academic foundation across core subjects.
English Campus
A dedicated building where all lessons are conducted entirely in English, providing students with a fully immersive learning environment and an international academic approach.
Senior Campus (Grades 9–11)
A specialized building designed exclusively for senior students from the Azerbaijani and Russian sectors, focusing on advanced academic preparation, university readiness, and a structured learning environment tailored to upper secondary education.
Early Childhood Education
Baku Modern Educational Complex is part of a wider educational system that includes two preschool institutions:
Baby Plaza Kindergarten
A safe and nurturing environment focused on early childhood development, care, and foundational learning.
Modern Kids Kindergarten
A modern preschool offering a play-based and interactive learning approach that supports creativity, communication, and early academic skills.
