March 18 is commemorated as the day of remembrance for the martyrs of Çanakkale.

Azerbaijan also played a part in this victory. Thousands of Azerbaijanis supported Turkey, their brothers, during the Çanakkale battles. The Azerbaijani people provided Turkey with material and moral support, while thousands of Azerbaijanis joined the fighting and were martyred heroically, demonstrating great courage.
